Halloo offers several plans that meet our Market Standard for pricing, as well as free porting, 800 numbers, and the inclusion of ACD queues. Halloo does not offer a free trial, but they do offer a money-back guarantee. They do offer conference calling, but at an additional fee. They have what we consider to be a high quality web interface and above average customer service.

Pricing

The monthly fee for Halloo's basic, mid-level, and corporate plans meet our Market Standard. A local or an 800, 866, 877, 888 toll-free number is included in your plan for free. They do not offer international numbers, but they do offer vanity numbers for a one-time $30 fee. You can port numbers into their system for free. Halloo does not offer a free trial, but they do offer a 30-day money back guarantee if you have used fewer than 30 minutes with the basic plan or 100 minutes with the mid-level or corporate plans.

Online Interface

Halloo offers an average online interface. It takes a little more time to sign up for their service than it does on competing provider's sites, and they do not provide a setup wizard. You can add contacts to your Halloo account by importing CSV files. Halloo allows you to set specific handling rules, make a block call list, access call logs, set voicemail alerts, upload your own greetings, or customize your hold music through the online interface. Halloo offers a mobile application that allows you to manage and listen to voicemails on your mobile phone.

Call Management Features

Halloo lets you send a caller to a greeting, a dial-by-name directory, a dial-by-extension menu, a direct extension or a voicemail. You can also set call handling rules based on specific contacts or groups or even the time that the call is received. Halloo meets our Market Standard by allowing you to forward, transfer or hold calls through their system. While on a call, you may place the call on hold or send a caller straight to voicemail or another extension using the phone's keypad. But you cannot block a caller with your phone's keypad.

Halloo offers Follow Me call handling, which lets you set up an ordered list of extensions that will ring sequentially when you get incoming calls. You can record phone calls using the phone's keypad for an additional fee of $4.95 per extension per month. Halloo does not offer call tagging or call screening. Halloo allows you to place outgoing calls through your online account, and you can make outgoing calls from your online account even from outside the U.S.

PBX Features

Halloo stores your voicemails online and you can opt to receive an alert or the entire voicemail when you receive a message. Halloo does not offer voicemail-to-text transcription. Voicemails are stored online indefinitely, but your voicemail box can save only one hour of messages at any one time.

Halloo provides 100 extensions with their basic pricing plan, which greatly exceeds our Market Standard. You cannot buy additional extensions, but if you upgrade to their corporate plan you will receive unlimited extensions. Halloo offers conference calling, but you must pay $4.95 per month to obtain a dedicated toll-free conference number. Conference calls are deducted from your minutes by multiplying the number of participants by the number of minutes used in the call. You can have up to six people on a call at once and they can externally call-in. Halloo offers receive only Internet faxing, which meets our Market Standard. You can set up an auto attendant through Halloo. They also offer dial-by-name directories as well as ACD queuing capability.

Customer Support

Halloo offers average phone and email customer support. They do not offer live chat. Phone support is available 24/7. During testing, we experienced no significant wait times.
