Innoport Pros
- Smart system (ACD Queues) for incoming calls
Innoport Cons
- Expensive mid-level plan
- $35 setup fee for vanity numbers
- Can't port existing numbers into the service
- Conference calling not available
Innoport Conclusion
Innoport's basic plan meets our Market Standard, while their mid-level plan is relatively expensive. Innoport gives you a $20 or $35 credit upon creation depending on which plan you signed up for instead of a free trial. Innoport does not port numbers into their system, so you won't be able to use your existing phone number. Innoport offers useful features, such as Internet fax service and smart call routing (ACD Queues), but they lack conference calling features, which inhibits the value of their service compared to others. Innoport has high quality phone and email customer support which is available five days a week.
Pricing
Innoport's basic pricing plan meets our Market Standard, but they have an expensive mid-level plan. A 888, 877, 866 toll-free number is included in the monthly fee, but you must pay an extra $4.95 per month for a local number. They do not offer international numbers and vanity numbers require a $35 setup fee. They do not allow you to port a number. They have a one month risk-free trial that gives you a free $20 or $35 credit upon account creation, depending on which plan you sign up for.
Online Interface
Innoport has an average online interface and a slow signup process. They do not offer a setup wizard, but you can store contacts online. You cannot import contacts from CSV files or Outlook or cut and paste into the system. They allow you to make a block call list, access call logs, set voicemail alerts, and upload your own greeting. They allow you to upload your own hold music. They do not offer a mobile application for smartphones.
Call Management Features
Innoport does not let you set call handling rules for specific contacts or for groups of contacts. However, they do allow you to set call handling rules based on a time schedule. You can forward, transfer and hold a call, which meets our Market Standard. While on a call, you can transfer the call to voicemail or place a call on hold using just the keypad. You cannot block or unblock a caller using just the keypad while on a call.
Innoport offers Follow Me call handling, which lets you set up an ordered list of extensions that will ring sequentially when you get incoming calls. They also offer call screening and call tagging, but you cannot record phone calls or call out from this PBX service.
PBX Features
You can store an unlimited number of voicemail messages for 30 days or archive indefinitely. With Innoport you can opt to receive voicemails via email, but cannot have your voicemails transribed to text.
Innoport offers five extensions with their basic plan and five more can be added for free. They do not offer conference calling. However, they do offer an Internet fax service that can both send and receive faxes, which exceeds our Market Standard of receive-only fax capability. You can set up a custom auto attendant that lets callers decide where they need to be routed. They also offer a dial-by-name directory as well as an ACD Queuing system.
Customer Support
Innoport provides high quality customer support. Their phone support is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, and we experienced no wait times during testing. They also offer email support but do not offer live chat.
