Conclusion

The Onebox Receptionist plan is a good PBX plan that gives you all the features you would want. The Receptionist plan has the ability to do internet faxes, handle conference calls, send message alerts, and screen calls. The monthly cost is right in line with our market standard and there is no activation fee. A toll free number is included with the plan. The plan has 5000 included minutes along with up to 20 extensions. Although they do offer extra extensions for $7.95 per month it is recommended that you contact Onebox for a customizable "Enterprise" plan if you plan on needing more than 20 extensions. The only real problem with the plan is that you do not get a free trial. Their customer service was responsive through both phone and live chat. As you are signing up for the service there are pop up windows which are helpful in giving you additional information.

The setup process is easy and straightforward. Before finishing the process you are able to set up your extensions and, request a professional greeting. This is unique to Onebox since with most other service providers you have to pay an extra fee to have someone professionally record your greeting. The system itself functions great. When a caller dials your extension they are prompted to announce their name. The call then goes to your forwarded number and the attendant informs you of who is calling and allows you the option to either answer the call, or send it to voicemail. Adding an extension however is not an intuitive process and proves to be somewhat difficult. Another unique aspect of Onebox is the Calendar, Tasks, and Contacts tabs. These tabs give Onebox the capability of being a scheduler as well as a virtual phone system.
