uReach Conclusion
uReach only offers one plan, and the price ($24.99 for no included minutes) is much more expensive than our Market Standard. Also, beware of recurring monthly costs for 800 numbers, vanity numbers and ported numbers. They also do not offer a free trial but have a 30-day money back guarantee, and you are still charged for the minutes used during the trial period. This plan is not recommended for someone who needs more than 10 extensions. Also, uReach lacks a lot of standard call management features (i.e. no call transfer, call hold, Find Me/Follow Me) and PBX features (i.e. no conference calling, ability to add extensions, send-only fax). There are other services that offer these features for a lower monthly fee. uReach offers average quality phone and email customer support, which is available five days a week.
Pricing
uReach's basic plan costs $24.99 and does not come with any included minutes. An 866, 877 or 888 number is included in the monthly fee, which meets the Market Standard. However, uReach does not offer local or international numbers. 800 numbers are available with a $15 setup fee and cost an additional $5.99 per month. Vanity numbers cost $40 to set up and are an additional $5.99 a month. You can port a number for an additional $1.99 a month and a $40 setup fee. They do not offer a free trial, which does not meet our Market Standard, but they offer a 30-day money back guarantee.
Online Interface
uReach has an average online interface and a very quick signup process. They do not offer a setup wizard and you cannot store contacts. They allow you to make a block call list by calling their tech support and having them block numbers for you. You can access call logs, which can be filtered and sorted. You can receive voicemail alerts as well as upload your own greeting or recording. uReach does not offer any mobile applications for smartphones.
Call Management Features
uReach does not allow you to set specific call handling rules for certain contacts or for groups of contacts. However, they allow you to set handling rules based on a time schedule. While they give you the ability to forward calls, they do not allow you to transfer calls or put calls on hold. This does not meet our Market Standard. While on a call, you are not able to transfer the call to voicemail, place a call on hold, or block/unblock a caller using just the keypad.
They do not offer Follow Me call handling, which lets you set up an ordered list of extensions that will ring sequentially when you get incoming calls, and you cannot record phone calls. They also do not offer call tagging, but they do offer call screening with a downloadable PC client, which is considered a separate service. You are not able to place outgoing calls through their online PBX system.
PBX Features
uReach stores up to 100 voicemail messages online for as long as you want. You can opt to receive voicemails via email as well as have your voicemails automatically transcribed for an extra $2 a month. You can also have your voicemails transcribed and texted to you.
uReach offers 10 extensions with this plan, which meets the Market Standard. You are not able to add any additional extensions. They also do not offer conference calling, which does not meet our Market Standard. They offer Internet fax service with their plan, which allows you to receive and forward faxes, but this does not meet our Market Standard. You can set up a custom auto attendant that lets callers decide where they need to be routed. However, they do not offer a dial-by-name directory.
Customer Support
uReach has average phone and email customer support, but they do not offer live chat support. Phone and email support are available from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Wait times for phone support are minimal to none.
