Plan Reviewed: Virtual Extension

Pros

  • Internet fax and conference call features available
  • Unlimited minutes
  • Unlimited extensions
  • Unlimited toll free minutes

Cons

  • No free trial
  • $14.99/month charge for internet fax feature

Conclusion
Vocalocity's Virtual Extension plan is ideal for businesses that typically receive a much higher amount of inbound calls than they place outbound. The low monthly cost includes unlimited inbound calls and unlimited calls placed within the Vocalocity network. Features such as internet fax capabilities can be added for a monthly cost, but this cost includes unlimited usage. Outbound calls are not included with this plan and there is no free trial for the service. However, all inbound calls can be either routed through an auto attendant, or sent directly to your phone. Vocalocity's Virtual Extension plan can be a viable option if your business operates mainly through inbound calls.

Plan Reviewed: Unlimited Extension

Pros

  • Unlimited minutes
  • Unlimited extensions
  • Helpful customer service
  • Unlimited toll free minutes

Cons

  • No free trial

Conclusion
Vocalocity's Unlimited Extension plan has a lot to offer in terms of pricing and usability. Vocalocity's Unlimited Extension plan is their most popular plan and offers unlimited inbound and outbound calling with an unlimited number of extensions. Having unlimited inbound and outbound calling as well as unlimited extensions is unique to Vocalocity. Your total monthly price depends on what type of number you want and what add-ons you want with your service. Vocalocity charges a monthly fee to purchase a toll free number, however the monthly charge of $39.99 includes unlimited minutes meaning neither you or your customer incur any per minute charges. They also charge a $14.99 monthly fee for internet fax, but again, your usage is unlimited. Overall, the initial costs for Vocalocity's Unlimited Extension plan may seem higher than there competitors. However, if you are a company that plans on receiving a high volume of calls Vocalocity's Unlimited Extension plan will most likely end up costing you less than many of their competitors.

We've actually gotten cheaper prices for all the services Vocalocity offers, mainly because we have 13 extensions. One thing to note about the charge for 800 numbers that you do not mention is that Vocalocity does not charge for incoming 800 minutes, while nearly every other provider charges $0.035 to $0.07 per minute for 800 incoming. So if you look at a company who is going to receive a lot of incoming 800 minutes, that is substantial savings there. I think it should be considered a pro and not a con.
