FreedomVoice Pros
- Smart system (ACD Queues) for incoming calls
FreedomVoice Cons
- Conference calling feature costs $5 with this plan
FreedomVoice Conclusion
FreedomVoice's reviewed pricing plans meet our Market Standard in terms of price, but we've reviewed other vendors that offer more extensions and more minutes for the same price. They offer a free trial for 15 days that lets you test their service. FreedomVoice meets our Market Standard by including five extensions, conference calling features and Internet fax service. They also offer a smart routing system (ACD Queues), which is a special feature. FreedomVoice offers high quality phone and email support that is available six days a week.
Pricing
All three levels of FreedomVoice's plans meet our Market Standard in terms of pricing. A local or 866, 877 or 888 toll-free number is provided for free with your monthly plan. An 800 toll-free number can be acquired for an additional $10 setup fee. They do not offer international numbers. FreedomVoice offers vanity numbers for a $30 one-time fee. Existing numbers can also be ported into their system for a one-time cost of $30 for a toll-free number or $20 for a local number. FreedomVoice offers a 15-day free trial, which is below our Market Standard of 30 days.
Online Interface
FreedomVoice offers an above average online interface. Signing up for an account does not take much time and they offer a setup wizard to help you get started. Contacts can be stored online, but the only way to add them is by manually entering each contact one at a time. Through the online interface, you can make a block call list, access call logs, set voicemail alerts, upload your own greetings, or customize the hold music. FreedomVoice does not offer a mobile application for smartphones.
Call Management Features
You cannot assign call handling rules based on specific contacts or groups with FreedomVoice, but you can set rules based on time of call. FreedomVoice allows you to forward, transfer and hold calls. While on a call, you can place the caller on hold or transfer them to another extension or voicemail box using just the keypad on your phone. But you cannot block a caller using the keypad on your phone.
FreedomVoice offers Follow Me call handling, which lets you set up an ordered list of extensions that will ring sequentially when you get incoming calls. For $69.95 per month, you can record and store up to 2GB of calls, but you cannot record calls using the keypad on your phone. FreedomVoice does not offer call tagging, but they do offer call screening. You can make outgoing calls using your FreedomVoice number, even from outside of the U.S.
PBX Features
FreedomVoice stores your voicemails online, and you can opt to receive a notification or the voicemail itself through email whenever you receive a message. FreedomVoice offers voicemail-to-text transcription for $10 per month plus 25 cents per 30 seconds transcribed. An unlimited number of messages may be saved online for as long as you wish.
FreedomVoice provides five extensions, which does not meet our Market Standard. You can purchase additional extensions for $5 per set of five extensions. There is no limit on the amount of extensions you can purchase. You can obtain a bridge number for conference calls for an additional $5 per month. Conference calls are billed by calculating the number of participants multiplied by the number of call minutes used. You can have up to 30 people on a call at one time, and you can have more than one conference call happening at one time. FreedomVoice offers both send and receive Internet fax capability, which meets our Market Standard. FreedomVoice also offers auto attendants, dial-by-name directories and ACD Queues.
